Andrew Rainone – Strength and Conditioning Coach in Battersea at StrengthLab LDN

BACKGROUND

Andrew Rainone is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Strength and Conditioning Coach in Battersea. Originally from Montreal, Canada, he is a graduate of St George’s, University of London, and holds the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential from the NSCA.

With over five years of experience across rehabilitation and sports performance, Andrew has coached adolescent, collegiate (NCAA) and professional (NHL) athletes and supported clients from the general population who want to build strength, resilience and long-term health. His background blends clinical rehabilitation with strength and conditioning, enabling him to bridge the gap between injury management and performance training.

Andrew’s practical expertise includes programming for common musculoskeletal presentations—such as rotator cuff and patellofemoral pain, hip impingement and lower-back issues—using movement assessment, periodisation and evidence-based progressions. He has collaborated closely with physical therapists and osteopaths to align rehab with return-to-performance goals.

Previously (2021), Andrew delivered small-group, cadaver-based musculoskeletal anatomy demonstrations at McGill University for kinesiology and physiotherapy cohorts—experience that sharpened his anatomical reasoning and communication, now applied daily in coaching.

MY MISSION

His coaching mission is to help individuals perform and recover at their best by establishing the foundations first—breathing, movement, nutrition and sleep—before progressing to strength, power, speed and energy system development. He believes every client should be treated as a person first, and that great coaching depends as much on clear communication and human connection as it does on technical skill.

Based at StrengthLab Battersea, Andrew integrates physiotherapy insight with high-quality S&C coaching to help athletes and active adults move better, recover stronger and perform with confidence.
