Hybrid Personal Training in Wimbledon: How It Works at Our SW19 Studio

Short answer: Hybrid personal training at Strength Lab LDN Wimbledon Park means a few 1-to-1 sessions with an S&C coach at our private studio at 407 Durnsford Rd, SW19 8EE, plus a written programme in our app for the days you train on your own. Wimbledon pricing depends on how many in-person sessions you want and is set at your consultation. It’s a 10-minute walk from Wimbledon Park tube and Earlsfield station.

How hybrid works at our Wimbledon Park studio

Wimbledon Park is our smaller studio. It’s about 300 sq ft, all indoor, and set up for 1-to-1 coaching, so you never share a rack or wait for kit. That makes it a good place for the sessions that need a coach in the room: heavy lifts, new movements and retests.

Hybrid uses that time well. You see your coach in person for the technical work, then follow the rest of your week from a programme in our app. It works whether you train at home, in a commercial gym near work or in a hotel gym when you travel.

We explain the idea in more depth in what is hybrid training. This guide is about how it runs in SW19.

Who hybrid suits in SW19

  • Commuters. If you’re in the office most days, you can train near work and come to the studio when you’re home.
  • People who travel. Your programme goes with you, and your coach can adjust it to whatever kit the hotel gym has.
  • People with a gym membership already. Keep it, and use it properly with a plan written for you.
  • Anyone who can’t do 3 or 4 PT sessions a week. You still get coaching and a plan, without paying for a coach at every session.

If you’re brand new to lifting, or you want every session watched, full 1-to-1 personal training may suit you better to start with. Plenty of people do a block of 1-to-1 first, then move to hybrid once they know the main lifts.

What a hybrid week can look like

Every plan is written around you, so this is only an example of how a week might be split:

  • Session with your coach: squat or deadlift work at the studio, with your coach setting loads and checking technique.
  • App session: upper body strength in your own gym, logged in the app.
  • App session: conditioning, such as intervals on a bike or rower.

Your coach reviews what you log and adjusts the plan as the numbers move.

What it costs in Wimbledon

Hybrid pricing at Wimbledon Park depends on the split between in-person sessions and online programming, so we set it at your consultation. It’s usually discounted compared with standalone online programming.

For reference, hybrid memberships at our Battersea studio are £300 a month for 2 sessions plus your app programme, or £450 a month for a weekly session plus your app programme. If you’d rather train fully 1-to-1, sessions are £80, £78 or £74 each in packs of 5, 10 or 20, including VAT.

More detail on the format across both studios is in hybrid personal training in London.

FAQs

Is hybrid personal training available in Wimbledon?

Yes. Strength Lab LDN runs hybrid training from its Wimbledon Park studio at 407 Durnsford Rd, SW19 8EE, as well as from Battersea Park. You train with an S&C coach in person and follow a written programme in our app between sessions.

How much does hybrid training cost at Wimbledon Park?

It depends on how many in-person sessions you want alongside your app programme, so the price is set at your consultation. At our Battersea studio, hybrid memberships are £300 a month for 2 sessions or £450 a month for weekly sessions.

Can I do my other sessions at my own gym?

Yes. Your coach writes the programme around the kit you have, whether that’s a commercial gym, a home setup or a hotel gym, and every exercise has a video in the app.

Is hybrid training suitable for beginners?

It can be, but most beginners do better starting with a few 1-to-1 sessions to learn the main lifts. Once you’re confident with them, moving to hybrid keeps the coaching while you train more on your own.
